Hi Fairbanks Curling Community,

You may have heard on the news today (10/21) about a website vulnerability effecting 69% of websites worldwide. Our website is in that percentage. Due to this vulnerability an attacker could use it to take full control of someone's web server. Don't panic, we are working on it!

As a result, we are working to upgrade and patch our web servers with an official released patch which should fix it. This may mean we have to take the website down for some amount of time while we are update the site to support the new upgrades. We are doing what we can to prepare for this and reduce downtime. But if you reach a message about the site being unavailable because it is undergoing updates please be patient and we will let you know as soon as it is back up. We hope this is only a few hours but could extend up to a day.

After the website is live again, there may be some bugs introduced by this update and we are attempting to prevent that to the best of our ability. If you find a bug please let us know and we will work on solving it as soon as we reasonably can.

Let us know if you have any questions. You can email Amanda Young (amanda@curlfairbanks.org) or David Hejna (david@curlfairbanks.org) with inquiries.

Thanks for your patience,

The Website Committee
